Leh, a high-desert city in the Himalayas, capital of the Leh region in northern India’s Jammu and Kashmir state. Leh is now known for its Buddhist sites, lakes and trekking areas.
Getting to Leh
One can fly to Leh from major Indian cities via Delhi and Mumbai, but much of the time you save will be spent acclimatizing to the altitude. Your other option is to drive, and there are two ways of getting there from Srinagar (415km) and from Manali (482km)
